Infant Immunisation

Appointments are sent from the Health Authority for immunisation at the surgery on Thursday mornings.  All routine immunisations and vaccinations are carried out at this time.  If, however, you are unable to attend, it may be possible to arrange for the immunisation to be given during other surgery hours.

Child Development

Child Health Development checks are carried out each week at the surgery.  Appointments are sent from the Local Health Authority automatically.

Family Planning

Family planning is available to all and is free.  Advice can be obtained by making an appointment with the Doctor of your choice at the surgery.  Emergency contraceptive advice can be given in complete confidentiality but please inform the receptionist so that the earliest possible appointment can be given.

Maternity Care

The Doctors and midwives provide a full range of maternity services and work closely with the hospital.  Initially, you will see one of the midwives at the booking clinic and then both Doctor and midwife regularly through the pregnancy.  Your post natal care forms in important part of this service.
